On a ground-line slender columns form three compartments; left and right compartments with arched tops; in left compartment naked warrior to right, wearing helmet and with upraised sword in right hand; Iron Cross in arch above; in center compartment naked man en face raises bent arms towards a haloed Roman cross; in right compartment, nurse to right ministers to half-reclining draped man; Red Cross in arch above; four-line title inscription in exergue formed by ground-line; two-line vertical year-date separated left, right, respectively; artist's signature K･OTT･ lower left on ground-line; raised rim, pearled border overlaid intermittently by image.
