Josef Gangl - 1916, Blackened Cast Bronze Medallion with gold gild, 100mm, 227.2g., Frankenhuis - 623.

Obverse: Bloody broadsword, pointing down, bisects a gold gilted 19-14, name below.

Reverse:  Germany as nude warrior, sword in each hand, about to attack a mounted enemy with lance and shield (on the western front).  In background combat, amidst the dead and wounded, an advancing warrior with bear emblazoned shield (the eastern front) approaches.
