Obverse: Bloody broadsword, pointing down, bisects a gold gilted 19-14, name below.
Reverse: Germany as nude warrior, sword in each hand, about to attack a mounted enemy with lance and shield (on the western front). In background combat, amidst the dead and wounded, an advancing warrior with bear emblazoned shield (the eastern front) approaches.
