    TRIUMPHUS ∙ MORTIS ∙ IN ∙ BELLO ∙ MCMXIV ∙ XVIII (Triumph of Death in War 1914 - 18). Cast bronze,  68mm, 96.22 g.  Vorzüglich (extremely fine).

    Obverse: Death portrayed as skeleton wearing iron crown, carrying scythe on gaunt horse riding to right over landscape of skulls and writhing snakes; artist's monogram, encircled, ligatured ƎE upper left. 

    Reverse: crowned skull, full face, on iron-crowned shield on laurel wreath encircled by title legend.
