Stahlhelm in profile to left, slung rifle, holding
Stielgranate (stick-grenade) with left hand, right hand and arm across body to arm it for throwing; title inscription left and right, respectively, at thigh-level; artist's signature LANGE under ground-line right; raised rim.
Reverse: Skeletons of tree in blighted landscape; raised rim.
